We’ve thought through every detail so you don’t have to.
Starting a new infusion therapy can feel like a lot with a new medication, new setting, and new questions. At Cure Stat Rx, our job is to make this part feel familiar before you ever sit in the chair. Here’s exactly what your first visit will look like, where it might happen, and how to prepare.
Before Your First Infusion
The moment your provider sends us your prescription, our team goes to work behind the scenes.
Where You’ll Have Your Infusion
The right setting depends on your medication, how closely it needs to be monitored, your insurance, your provider’s preference, and yours. We’ll talk through the options together.
In our Ambulatory Infusion Suite at Cure Stat Rx
If your therapy works best in a clinical setting or you simply prefer it, our ambulatory infusion suite is located inside the Cure Stat Rx pharmacy in San Diego. You’ll be cared for by an infusion nurse just steps from the cleanroom where your medication was compounded, which means anything you need is right there. Reclining chairs, Wi-Fi, blankets, and snacks included.
Location: 6725 Mesa Ridge Rd, Suite 230, San Diego, CA 92121
At Home through Cure Stat Infusion Services
For some therapies, home infusion is the most comfortable option. Supplies are delivered to wherever you call home, a licensed home-infusion nurse comes to you, sets up everything, monitors you throughout, and stays as long as your protocol requires.

In our Ambulatory Infusion Center at Restore Health and Wellness
For therapies that benefit from a dedicated infusion environment, we partner with Restore Health and Wellness, our San Diego–based ambulatory infusion center. You’ll receive the same medication and dedicated clinical oversight, in a space designed around comfort and recovery.
Location: 12220 World Trade Dr, Suite 130, San Diego, CA 92128

The Day of Your Infusion
A typical first visit takes anywhere from one to several hours, depending on the medication. Here’s the flow.
How to Prepare
A few small things make a big difference on infusion day.
If You Have a Reaction
Most infusions go smoothly. But if anything feels off during your visit — itching, flushing, shortness of breath, anything you weren’t expecting — tell your nurse immediately. Reactions during infusion are the reason we monitor you in real time, and your nurse is trained to manage them on the spot.
If something comes up after you’ve left, call us. Never wonder whether something is “worth a call.” If it concerns you, call us. Here is a simple guide.
When in doubt, call us. We would rather hear about something small than miss something important.
After Your Infusion
In 24–48 hours, you’ll get a follow-up call to check on how you’re feeling and answer any new questions. We also send a full report — including how the infusion went, any reactions, any labs drawn — back to your prescribing provider, so your full care team stays in the loop.
Quick Answers
How long will my first infusion take? Anywhere from one to several hours, depending on the medication and the rate your provider prescribed. On your welcome call, we will give you a specific time estimate.
Will my insurance cover it? We verify your benefits before your first visit and walk you through any out-of-pocket cost. If cost is a barrier, we’ll help you apply for manufacturer or foundation assistance.
Can someone come with me? Absolutely. We encourage it, especially for your first visit.
What if I don’t like needles? Tell your nurse. We have techniques to make IV placement easier (warm compresses, distraction, numbing cream) and we’ll go at your pace.
Who do I call with questions? (888) 963-6544. Our team is available Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM PST.
